Deposits

Why we don't take commission
Because we couldn't collect it honestly. A customer finds you through us and then rings you direct — did we earn a cut? You take one job through us and the customer comes back to you next year — do we invoice you for that too?
Every answer to that is an argument, and we'd rather not have arguments with the people we depend on. A flat fee means you know exactly what you're paying, and a good month is entirely yours.
On paid placement: businesses on a paid plan appear higher in the directory, and we label that where it happens. Paying us doesn't make anyone better at their trade and we won't suggest it does.
